November 1985, Delta S4 debut triumphally at the RAC Rally, as predestinated: 1st Henri Toivonen, 2nd Markku Alen. From 1987 to 1992 it was an undisputed domain: six consecutive constructors’ championship titles and four world drivers championship under the colors of Martini Racing, an unmatched record.
The remaining open issues, but also anecdotes of men who thought and realized this great success story of the Italian industry, shared and owned by all, is the theme of our story.
All the enormous passion and creativity behind the successes of that wonderful car will relive in the voice and in the eyes of many protagonists – mechanics, engineers, drivers – and witnesses of those years – reporters and sports commentators – in a choral narration overall. We will see unpublished archival footage and see all versions of the Delta in action. We will even onboard the only one Lancia Delta ECV Evo 87 built.

Novembre 1985, Delta S4 esordisce al RAC Rally in maniera trionfale, da predestinata: 1° Henri Toivonen, 2° Markku Alen. Dal 1987 al 1992 è un dominio incontrastato: 6 titoli consecutivi nel mondiale costruttori e 4 nel mondiale piloti sotto i colori Martini Racing, un record ineguagliato.
Le questioni rimaste aperte, ma anche gli aneddoti degli uomini che pensarono e realizzarono questa grande storia di successo dell’industria italiana, condivisa e partecipata da tutti, sono il tema del nostro racconto.
Tutta l’enorme passione e l’inventiva alla base dei successi di quella splendida macchina rivivranno nella voce e negli occhi dei tanti protagonisti – meccanici, ingegneri, piloti – e dei testimoni di quegli anni – i cronisti e i commentatori sportivi – in un racconto corale d’insieme. Vedremo immagini di repertorio inedite e vedremo in azione tutte le versioni della Delta. Saliremo persino a bordo dell’unica Lancia Delta ECV Evo 87 costruita.
