L’Italiano Porticando is a small and friendly school for Italian language and culture for foreigners situated in a beautiful eighteenth century building in the historic city centre of Turin (Piedmont), near most important sightseeing destinations.

But what does “L’Italiano Porticando” mean ? The name coined by the three owners, Laura, Rosaria and Caterina, means “Learn Italian while walking under Turin’s arcades” and stands for its philosophy and approach. While at school the student will find an inviting and warm atmosphere allowing him to learn easily the Italian language and to get to know many aspects of daily life in Italy, in the afternoons he or she will have the possibility to practise the language by taking part in the many activities organized by the school. From walks through the most beautiful parts of Italy’s first capital, to visits to the many museums and royal residences, to cooking classes, wine and chocolate tastings, to many cultural courses on architecture, art, cinema, music, fashion etc. the school, the city and the region offer many opportunities to young and old to experience Italy and the Italian way of life.
