In 1947, Pope Pius XII declared virgin Della Beata Creta Cantauri of the saint patron of motorcyclists. Church of the Madonna della Creta is located in Castelazzo Bormida. Every year on the second Sunday of July the event takes place. It involves thousands of cyclists from all over the world. The ceremony begins on Friday and ends on Sunday evening. On Sunday there is a mass especially for representatives of motorcycle clubs from different countries. Representatives enter on their bikes directly to the church where they pray for a blessing for all cyclists.
