Il Centro Educazione Ambientale Andirivieni di Legambiente, immerso nel verde cuore della Serra, ai piedi delle Alpi, è un luogo piacevole, ideale per le attività di formazione, educazione ambientale ed ecoturistiche; convegni, seminari e progetti di sostenibilità ambientale e sociale che ben si sposano con le peculiarità del territorio.

La Serra Morenica, collina di origine morenica che unisce il Biellese e l’Eporediese, offre percorsi e sentieri naturali, borghi medioevali, antiche miniere d’oro e piccoli paesi immersi nella tranquillità.

Gli operatori e i volontari del CEA Andirivieni, mettono a disposizione l’esperienza maturata in campo ambientale e la profonda conoscenza del territorio per accompagnare bambini, giovani ed adulti in percorsi legati alla riscoperta del territorio e del suo valore e per porre l’attenzione sull’importanza di vivere a contatto con la Natura e l’Ambiente in un rapporto di reciproco rispetto.

L’obiettivo del CEA è quello di mettere in relazione popolazione e territorio, società e ambiente, in una visione progressiva di sviluppo sostenibile, rivolgendosi ad un target più ampio possibile: dalle scuole alle famiglie, dai turisti alle associazioni, agli enti del territorio, concentrandosi in particolar modo sui bambini e i ragazzi, ma senza tralasciare le fasce più anziane della popolazione locale, che troveranno nel CEA un punto di riferimento dove trascorrere le loro giornate.

Il CEA si propone dunque sul territorio biellese come:
- Rifugio Escursionistico: parte della struttura esistente sarà trasformata in rifugio escursionistico con una capacità ricettiva di circa 20/25 posti letto con un’area per la consumazione di cibi propri, bagni, servizi sanitari previsti per questo tipo di strutture.
- Laboratori ad uso didattico: i locali adiacenti all’area verde saranno adibiti ad attività educative e didattiche.
- Conferenze e dibattiti: l’area centrale di circa 60/65 metri quadrati sarà destinata a momenti di attività collettiva: mostre convegni, dibattiti, congressi; in particolare è nostra intenzione collaborare con le realtà associative locali mettendo loro a disposizione questo spazio.
- Uffici e sportello turistico: i locali adiacenti l’entrata saranno destinati ad uffici, mentre il più vicino all’entrata principale, ove il passaggio di ospiti è obbligatorio, sarà sede dello sportello turistico.

Le attività che si intendono sviluppare all’interno del CEA si possono riassumere in tre macro aree di intervento:
A) Attività a carattere educativo/formativo

· Attività educative e didattiche
· Campi internazionali di volontariato
B) Attività di fruizione del territorio
· Visite guidate ed escursioni
· Turismo per adulti e famiglie
· Sportello Turistico
C) Corsi di formazione e aggiornamento

The Environmental Education Center of Legambiente (CEA) Andirivieni , is located in the green heart of the Serra Morenica, at the foot of the Alps, it is a pleasant place, ideal for training, environmental education and eco-tourism, conventions, seminars and projects for environmental sustainability combined with the peculiarities of the territory.

The Serra Morenica, combines the Biella and Eporediese area, offers paths and nature trails, medieval villages, ancient gold mines and a quiet countryside.

Employees and Volunteers from CEA Andirivieni , use all of their experience in the environmental field and in-depth knowledge of the area to accompany children, youth and adults in pathways linked to the rediscovery of the land and its value and to focus attention on the importance of living in contact with Nature and the Environment in a relationship of mutual respect.

The aim of CEA is to correlate the population and territory, society and environment, a progressive vision of sustainable development, addressing a wider target possible, from schools to families, tourists associations, to local organizations, focusing especially on children and young people, not forgetting the eldery segments of the local population, who will find a reference point in the CEA to spend some of their free time.

The CEA is therefore offering to the territory of Biella :

Excursion Refuge: Part of the existing structure will be transformed into a special place for hikers, with a capacity of about 20/25 beds with an area for the consumption of their own meals, bathrooms and health services provided for this type of structures.

Laboratories for teaching purposes: the premises adjacent to the CEA green area will be used for educational and teaching activities.

Conferences and debates: the central area of about 60/65 square meters will be used for moments of collective activity: exhibitions and conferences, debates, conferences, and in particular we intend to work with the local associations.

Spaces adjacent the entry will be used as Administrative offices and near the main entrance, will be hosted the Tourist Information Office.

The activities developed within the CEA can be summarized into three main areas:

A) Activities for educational / training

· International Volunteers Workcamps

B) Activities in the local territory

· Guided tours and excursions
· Tourism for adults and families
· Tourist Information Desk
