Sicily, is an ideal destination for equestrian tourism, for many different reasons:

In the organization of our trails are included:
- Transfer from/to the closest train station or bus stop (optional transfers from to the airports available)
- All meals with drinks
- All nights in quality accommodations
- Horse hire with english or western saddle
- One or more English speaking guides, experts in the area that is crossed throughout the journey.

Our horses stay with us throughout the duration of the trail and are greeted by the same structures so guests never need to use other means of transport not even for short distances.

All meals are made from local produce from picnic lunch to dinner in farmhouse that include a minimum of four litters.

During our trekking course, in addition to coming into direct contact with the true essence of Sicilian nature, immersed in the enchanting landscape of the island, through the paths, bridleways and old country roads, our guests have the opportunity to pass through towns and medieval villages. Some villages existing since antiquity and whose origins are lost in the mystery of our extremely complex history, which saw the Sicilians cohabit with the Sicani, with the Greeks, the Phoenicians, the Arabs and the Normans and Byzantines, and later the French, Spanish, Bourbon, Italian… All those who peopled Sicily and managed to assimilate, integrate and fuse with extreme ease, due to its charm and its beauty, into a single people that we can define as Sicilian, a character of people created from a complex and intriguing history. A complexity and wealth that we enjoy in our kitchen, which is also important part of our cultural heritage, the result of thousands of years of different culinary traditions imported and adapted by our invaders and ancestors. Therefore the kitchen has a special importance for us, and the palates of our guests are always happy to enjoy our healthy and varied foods, the more so for the territories that are crossed. The dinners that are offered in the evening in the farmhouse where we stay always have a minimum of four courses, they are always accompanied by an excellent local wine, and always end with a choice of local liqueur, limoncello, madarinetto or bitter. Our vegetarian or vegan friends do not have to worry, there is always a rich selection of foods available given the large and generous variety of our agricultural land.

Nell’organizzazione dei nostri trekking sono previsti:
- I transfer da/per la stazione ferroviaria o fermata autobus più vicini (transfer da/per aeroporto facoltativi)
- Tutti i pasti con bevande
- Tutti i pernottamenti in strutture ricettive di qualita’
- Il noleggio del cavallo con sella inglese o western a scelta
- Le guide, esperti cavalieri e conoscitori del territorio attraversato durante tutta la durata del percorso.

I nostri cavalli rimangono sempre insieme a noi per tutta la durata del trekking e vengono accuditi presso le stesse strutture ricettive per cui i nostri ospiti non hanno mai bisogno di usare altri mezzi di trasporto per tutta la durata del percorso, nemmeno per piccole distanze.

Tutti i pasti sono a base di prodotti locali, sotto forma di picnic il pranzo, e la cena in agriturismo comprende un minimo di quattro portate.

Nel corso dei nostri trekking, oltre ad entrare in diretto contatto con la vera essenza della natura siciliana, immersi nell’incantevole paesaggio dell’isola, attraverso i sentieri, le mulattiere e le trazzere, i nostri ospiti hanno l’opportunita’ di attraversare paesi e paesini medioevali. Alcuni di essi esistenti gia’ nell’antichita’ e di cui le origini si perdono nel mistero della nostra storia estremamente complessa, che ha visto coabitare i siculi con i sicani, i greci con i fenici, gli arabi con i normanni e i bizantini, e poi francesi, spagnoli, borbonici, italiani… Tutti popoli che la Sicilia e’ riuscita ad assimilare, integrare e fondere con estrema facilita’, grazie al suo fascino e alla sua bellezza, in un unico popolo che possiamo definire in una parola siciliano, dal carattere complesso ed intrigante quanto la sua storia. Una complessita’ e ricchezza che possiamo gustare nella nostra cucina, anch’essa parte importante del nostro patrimonio culturale, frutto di millenarie tradizioni culinarie diverse importate e riadattate dai nostri invasori ed antenati. Percio’ la cucina ha per noi un importanza particolare, ed i palati dei nostri ospiti sono sempre felici di gustare un cibo sano e vario, il piu’ possibile legato ai territori che si attraversano. Le cene che ci vengono offerte la sera negli agriturismi dove pernottiamo hanno sempre un minimo di quattro portate, sono sempre accompagnate da un ottimo vino locale, e si concludono sempre con un digestivo locale, limoncello, madarinetto o amaro a scelta. I nostri amici vegetariani o vegani non hanno di che preoccuparsi, vista la grande e generosa varieta’ agricola della nostra terra, hanno sempre una ricca varieta’ di cibi a disposizione.

Dans l’organization de nos randonnées sont inclus:
- Transfer de/pour la gare férroviaire ou arrêt de bus la/le plus proche (transfers optionels de/pour les aéroports disponibles)
- Tous les repas avec boissons
- Toutes les nuits en hébergement de qualité
- Location du cheval avec selle anglaise ou western
- Guide local francophone, expert de la géographie et de l’histoire du territoire traversé tout au long du voyage.

Nos chevaux restent avec nous toute la durée de la randonnée et sont accueillis par les mêmes structures que les clients qui n’ont donc jamais besoin d’utiliser d’autres moyens de transport même pour de courtes distances.

Tous les repas sont préparés avec des produits locaux du pique-nique au petit-déjeuner et au dîner dans les fermes-auberges qui comprend un minimum de quatre portées.

Nos randonnées mettent nos clients en contact direct avec la nature sauvage de la Sicile. La magie du paysage se déverse à travers les sentiers, les “mulattiere”, et les “trazzere”… A cela s’ajoute l’opportunité de traverser des villages et des petites villes médiévales qui font revivre aux visiteurs leurs passés. Parmi celles-ci, certaines existent depuis l’antiquité et concentrent de multiples histoires hétérogènes : celles des sicules et des sicanes, des grecs, des phéniciens, des arabes, des normands et des byzantins, puis des angevins, des espagnols, des bourbons, des italiens… Tous ces peuples ont été assimilés dans l’entrelacement des histoires au cours du temps, pour former, par leurs fusions, le peuple que nous pouvons appeler “sicilien”.
Nous retrouvons cette complexité culturelle sicilienne dans la cuisine. Cette dernière fait resurgir les particularités des peuples différents, mais mêlés, qui constituent l’île. La cuisine est imprégnée des saveurs de ces cultures. Les diverses traditions culinaires ont été importées puis réadaptées par les envahisseurs et les ancêtres des siciliens. La cuisine ayant pour nous une importance particulière, nos clients auront le plaisir de goûter une nourriture saine et variée liée aux territoires que nous traversons. Les dîners offerts dans les gîtes qui nous hébergent sont toujours accompagnés d’un excellent vin du pays, et se terminent toujours par la dégustation d’un verre de liqueur digestive locale (limoncello, mandarinetto ou autre). D’autre part, nos amis végétariens bénéficient toujours d’un repas qui leur est adapté, grâce à la variété du menu.
