Sun in Tuscany is a legally licensed tour operator which offers authentic tours, in both Florence and in the Chianti region, to small tour groups. We also organise private tours tailored to the needs of our customers.

Our main tours are guided visits to museums and the most important churches in Florence, visits to the Chianti region with carefully selected itineraries, visits to the best wineries to taste and learn about famous Tuscan wines and culinary experiences to discover where typical Tuscan dishes originated whilst also learning how to cook them.

The philosophy of our tour operators is to raise awareness of and impart Italian culture and tradition, with particular attention to a unique and exceptional historical period, the Renaissance, during which beauty reached an unparallelled level. To become familiar with the great masters of the Renaissance and their masterpieces focusing on the historical evolution from the 3rd to 6th century A.D., helps us to gain an understanding of the city of Florence. For us it is important to create a friendly relationship with our guests, connecting them to the area and the locals by giving them a truly authentic and original experience.

Sun in Tuscany came into being through the meeting of Chiara and Tayu and their passion for art, Renaissance culture, good food and good wine. Both were born and raised in Florence. Chiara is a French-Italian tour guide and leader in Florence and Tuscany while Tayu is a Dutch-Italian chef and filmmaker. ‘We love to travel and learn about different worlds and cultures. Our greatest joy is the feeling we get after our tours, having been able to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience.’

Claire is a tour guide with the passion for music and you’ll often see her singing with travellers at the end of the tour! Tayu is a chef who really loves to teach the secrets of Italian cuisine and who also has a passion for film and documentary.
