Salinara is a non-profit Italian institution.
We promote and encourage awareness, practice, development and diffusion of cultural activities related to art in all its forms.

Salinara has been founded by Yumi Igarashi and Adriano Castroni.
We are a community based on respect and the valorization of individual skills, provide inspiring, authentic and passionate experience.

We organize and host workshops, concentrate on reserching the finest international instructors for participants and strive to identify locations that feature picturesque, historical and emotional landscape.
Our workshops are intimate, unique, and we keep on refining, thanks to our long experience in Sicily, always focus on having fun.

Our charming historic villa is immersed in nature between the blue Mediterranean sea and the open horizon in Sicily.
It is the perfect holiday hideaway with a beautiful sea view where both body and soul can regenerate, giving a positive energy.
We serve home-made foods, freshly baked breads and cakes. We try to let guests to experience the best Sicilian traditional cuisine.
We have an organic vegetable garden for guests with different varieties of vegetable and fruit. Fresh eggs from our lovely hens.

During the renovation of the villa we worked with local artisans and we used only natural, local products. We tried to keep all the rooms more or less like they were, we wanted to respect the authentic Sicilian style. All our marbles are Sicilian, the colors used to paint the wall were made by Sicilian grounds and natural lime.
Authentic doors, windows, floors and wardrobes, have all been restored with our attention and passion.
