If you are looking for the peace and quiet of the countryside, Villa Gaia represents an optimum choice as it is situated in the lush Abruzzo green with a breathtaking view of the Majella mountains, yet equally interesting is the fact that it is only 13 minutes’ drive from the small city of Francavilla, 30 minutes’ drive from the larger city of Pescara and its convenient airport and 40 minutes’ drive to the Majella mountains.

2. The house was originally projected to be our own family get away as we escaped and recovered from the chaos and madness of the city life and its stresses; thus it was important for our family that our retreat was a place that was created and filled with love.
3. The region of Abruzzo is marvelous, yet it remains a little-known holiday destination for those tourists seeking to spend time in a lush, healthy, green environment.
Finally some little known facts:
• Abruzzo boasts 3 wonderful national parks and 38 protected nature areas and within these protected areas oases and natural reserves can be found
• Abruzzo, with its 23 certified villages for historic and artistic conservation is only second to Umbria in this national architectural treasure area
• In Abruzzo, you can horse-ride, trek, bike, canoe, white-water raft, windsurf, mountain climb, birdwatch, row, paraglide and hand glide

Villa Gaia is an elegantly furnished home with a country style touch for a warm and cozy experience.

The house comfortably hosts 8 to 9 people:
• 2 double rooms with double beds
• 2 double rooms with single beds
• 1 couch-bed for an additional guest

Villa Gaia is a Three-Storey Villa composed of:
• 2 large living rooms with fireplaces, reading and TV areas
• A fully furnished open-spaced kitchen (equipped with dishes, glasses, pots, a coffee Machine, a kettle, a toaster, a mixer and a microwave).
• 3 bathrooms, one for each floor (2 with normal showers and 1 equipped with a Hydro-massage bathtub)
• Laundry room (equipped with a washing machine, an ironing board and iron)

The outdoor area is composed of:
• A porch with a dining table and a ceiling fan
• A large patio with garden sofas
• 2 terraces
• A spacious planted garden
• Use of outdoor swimming pool with deckchairs
• A single garage with automated gate

Villa Gaia offers a small welcome kit:

Upon your arrival, you’ll find a welcome kit containing small breakfast items, so that you don’t have to immediately rush out to grocery store before taking in your first Majella Montain view experience.

Villa Gaia is furnished with comforts that a family could need:

The house is also supplied with hairdryers, bedsheets, blankets, pillows and towels for all guests. We supply our guests with a little bathroom kit which contains shampoos, shower gels and detergents.
Moreover, if we’ll have the pleasure to guest your furry friends there’ll be a welcome kit as well for them: dog basket, bowls and a little present.

Who we are:

We are two sisters who live in a house nearby and we’ll be there to welcome you to Villa Gaia as you check-in in order to give you the keys and all the house directions. During your stay, we’ll be available for all your needs or requests.

In and around Villa Gaia

Villa Gaia is located in the countryside, but it is 5 minutes’ drive to Torrevecchia Teatina where you’ll find the following: the post office, a bank, a grocery store, a bakery, a pharmacy, a bar and tobacco shop and a pizza restaurant.

13 minutes’ drive to Francavilla al Mare where you’ll find: several grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacies, banks, bars and tobacco shops, restaurants and beach resorts.

30 minutes’ drive to the ancient city of Chieti which is the guardian of the famous “Guerriero di Capestrano”, Romans remains, medieval churches and cathedral.

30 minutes’ drive to the modern city of Pescara, a perfect place for a sunset walk on the coastline or an afternoon of shopping and general fun.

40 minutes’ drive from the Majella Mountains with its uncontaminated nature.
