Delcon was founded in 1981 by Mr. Norberto Sala. The company began his activity in the field of diagnostic instruments' and consumables' sales as exclusive distributor in Italy on behalf of foreign manufacturers of devices for blood analysis and hematology and microbiology equipment. At the end of the nineties Delcon started its own production of blood-bank machines and, at the beginning of 2001, a new factory was established in Grassobbio, in an industrial district close to Bergamo, with high specialization in mechanical and electronic manufacturing. The factory is close to "Orio Al Serio" airport and the A4 motorway (Milan-Venice).

In 2011, Delcon extended its facilities in Grassobbio to more than 3.500 square meters with the aim of improving R & D and production capacities. The company currently has more than 40 employees, sales all over the country, and distributors all around the world through OEM agreements. Both buildings, in Arcore and Grassobbio, are equipped with modern solutions in order to create the best environment for the employees and to boosting efficiency in the production of the devices.

The electrical power used by the factory is mostly provided by solar panels located on the roof of the building over a total area of 2.200 square meters.

Delcon's working environment is young and dynamic and includes competences in the areas of mechanical engineering, electronics, software, and biochemistry, with a specific expertise in blood-banking processes and technologies.
