Before being brought to life by the master glass-makers of the lagoon, the works are conceived on the drawing boards of our world renowned designers, carrying on a tradition dating back to the sixties, which thanks to Luciano Vistosi has led to collaborations with designers of such caliber as Gae Aulenti, Angelo Mangiarotti, Vico Magistretti, Alfredo Chiaramonte, Marco Marin, Michele De Lucchi, Oriano Favaretto, Mauro Olivieri, Romani e Saccani Architetti Associati, to name just a few. Having the foresight apply glass to design, bringing together matter and thought, an ancient art and creative drive, was crucial to Vistosi’s initial success, rightly considered to be the forerunner of a new era. Today this philosophy lives on in Vistosi’s search for novel and sophisticated techniques in both production and the application of materials.
