Hello, we are Black Studio, from Reggio Emilia, Italy. We are a team of 6 people: Software Engineers, Designers and full stack Web Developers, Online Marketing experts. We have over 15 years of experience in PHP/MySQL/JS/HTML/CSS development and web design, of which the last 5 years spent almost exclusively on WordPress projects. We've built around 200 WordPress websites, also providing and managing hosting on our own server infrastructure and giving ongoing support to clients.
We are specialized in advanced customizations of the backend and frontend of WordPress, and integrations with 3rd party services. We extensively work with **OnTheGoSystems** products like **Toolset plugins** and **WPML**, and we are also in their [consultants list](https://wp-types.com/consultant/) and we are often involved in bug reporting and fixing, and in making improvements that they adopt in following releases. We extensively use **Genesis Theme Framework** for the most of our projects, either customizing existing child themes or building them from scratch. We do also have experience with **WooCommerce** solutions and related plugins. We do have a wide knowledge of existing free and commercial plugins, so for every WordPress problem we able to find a solution either based on existing plugins, or develop it from scratch when no other solution is available. If necessary we can use a mix of the two approaches.
We also developed some WordPress plugins that we’ve made available for free on the official WordPress plugin repository. The most famous is [**Black Studio TinyMCE Widget**](https://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/), which is in the list of the top 30 [popular plugins](https://wordpress.org/plugins/browse/popular/) on wordpress.org, and it is often included in blog articles listing the best or more popular plugins (i.e. [GoDaddy’s top 100](https://garage.godaddy.com/top-100-wordpress-plugins/)). It counts more than 2.500.000 downloads with a 4.7/5 average rating. This plugin is a good representation of the way we work: **it’s simple, clean, solves in a straightforward and clever manner a problem, and it’s loved by the users**.
We also often contribute to other plugins and also to WordPress core.
