Nata nel 1993 per sostenere il museo dopo un terribile attentato, l'Associazione Amici degli Uffizi onlus è una istituzione privata, indipendente e no-profit, la cui missione è utilizzare i fondi raccolti per contribuire ad accrescere e conservare le collezioni del museo, incrementare le sue attività culturali ed espositive, provvedere, con programmi e servizi, ad accogliere i soci e i visitatori che ogni anno desiderano godere di questo patrimonio unico al mondo.

Founded in 1993 to support the museum after a terrible bombing, Amici degli Uffizi onlus is a private, independent, no-profit association whose mission is to employ all the funds raised for the protection, conservation and restoration of the Uffizi Gallery collections, for the promotion of its cultural and educational activities, and for the encouragement of public awareness and appreciation through orientation services to assist members and visitors that wish to enjoy this unique artistic heritage.
