Once upon a time…
There was this old medieval building, dating back to the 13th century, called Spedale del Bigallo, offering hospitality and shelter for travelers and pilgrims hiking between Florence and Rome.

Today this ancient building is a renovated hostel offering travellers the same shelter as once before and modern hospitality, all the while maintaining its original medieval atmosphere.

At our Bigallo Hostel you will have the experience of the natural context, history and traditions of the surrounding hills of southern Florence, relishing in the peace and quiet of the olive trees while taking in a picturesque and unique view of the Renaissance city.

The hostel offers 52 beds total, organized into fascinating and characteristics dormitories and private rooms.

Its historical garden and halls, as well as the panoramic terrace are an ideal location for meetings, workshops and other activities.

It is a place to meet new friends and get to know local people, taking part in the events and the cultural and social activities that we organize.
