Il Waterbasket o Waterbasketball è una disciplina sportiva nata in Italia nel 2003. Nel 2005 la Federazione Italiana di Pallacanestro ha riconosciuto lo sport come una forma di basketball e il regolamento è stato depositato presso il CONI. Dal 2009 si tiene ogni anno il Campionato Italiano di Waterbasket che ha visto la partecipazione di sempre più squadre dal nord al sud Italia.
Waterbasket or Waterbasketball is a sport born in Italy in 2003. In 2005 Italian Federation of Basketball officially recognized it as a form of basketball and the rules were registered to the Italian Olympic Committee CONI.
Since 2009 the Waterbasket Italian Championship has been organized every year with always more teams from the south to the north of Italy.
