For a true taste of Tuscany and the "bella vita".....welcome to Fattoria Bassetto. Our house dates back to the 13th century and has seen many transformations through the years- formerly a convent for Benedictine monks, it has also been a working farm with the second largest wine cellar in all of Tuscany, as well as a tobacco farm. In 1998 we opened our home up again to travelers with the same notion of hospitality as the monks centuries ago...a stopping point for weary travelers on their pilgrimage through the cities of Italy.

Located in the small town of Certaldo, an hour away from Florence, Bassetto is a sigh of relief from the bustle of cities and a retreat into Tuscan life where sunshine is aplenty, days are filled with hammock lounging, bike rides among vineyards and olive groves, and explorations of medieval hilltop towns, and life is fueled by wine and scenic landscapes. We urge you to relax, to relish the slow life, to feel at home.
