Carosi: dal 1937 la sartoria per uomo a Roma

La storia della qualità sartoriale di Carosi a Roma nasce dalla passione per tessuti, abiti, camicie su misura e tutto l’universo dell’abbigliamento maschile.
Erano gli anni della Guerra, e il nostro primo negozio nella splendida cornice di Largo della Fontanella Borghese era un punto di riferimento per capi professionali quali livree, uniformi militari e abiti da lavoro.

La lavorazione artigianale dei tessuti prevedeva la loro conservazione dentro bacinelle piene d’acqua per 6 mesi; in seguito venivano invece spostati nelle camere di deumidificazione. Questa tecnica ci consentiva di realizzare abiti resistenti e sempre pronti ad essere indossati, indipendentemente dalle condizioni climatiche e dall’usura del tempo.

La nostra qualità artigianale e sartoriale continuò a crescere e divenne presto apprezzata e conosciuta non solo dai romani: durante i meravigliosi anni ’70, le grandi case prodruttrici di tessuti invitavano Carosi a Sanremo per esibire le nuove collezioni nei contesti più esclusivi e in vista d’Italia, suscitando l’ammirazione e l’interesse di tutti coloro che cercavano capi alla moda trattati secondo le migliori tecniche di sartoria del tempo.

Le mode cambiavano sempre più in fretta e l’ampliamento delle offerte di abbigliamento costringeva tutti i professionisti del settore a cercare continuamente soluzioni per rimanere sulla cresta dell’onda. Noi di Carosi abbiamo affrontato i ruggenti anni ’90 con un occhio attento ai cambiamenti che ci circondavano, ma sempre facendo tesoro della nostra storia e continuando a puntare sul nostro modo di intendere e di svolgere il nostro lavoro: e la nostra fiducia è stata premiata dai tanti clienti, vecchi e nuovi, che ci hanno apprezzato sempre di più. E per ripagare questa fiducia abbiamo allargato il nostro campo di competenza anche inserendo un’offerta di capi di abbigliamento femminili.

The history of Carosi quality tailoring in Rome is made by the passion for wovens, clothes, custom-made shirts and all the men’s apparel universe. During World War II we opened our first sales point in the amazing background of Largo della Fontanella Borghese and soon it became a landmark for professional clothing like liveries, military uniforms and suits. Dress-making followed clear and rigid schemes of tailoring so to instantly guarantee an impressive wearability and a improved endurance of the wovens in spite of excessive use or climatic variations. The handcrafted techniques of Carosi consisted in a detailed knowledge of all the instruments that could turn a tailor into a true specialist in its genre, in order to completely satisfy customers.

Our handcrafted tailor quality quickly grew up and became more and more appreciated: during the faboulous Seventies, the big woven and clothing companies invited Carosi in Sanremo to show its new collections in the most exclusive and recognized italian contexts, capturing attention and interest from all the people who were looking for fashion suits and tailor-made quality clothing. The constantly evolving scenario of the fashion trends and dress-codes forced many companies and tailors to quickly find always new and different wearing solutions to satisfy customers and more generally the referenced market requests. Later in the Nineties, we had to put an eye on this continuous changing but choosing to remain faithful to our tailor-made and handcrafted style built in so many years: our confidence was rewarded by lots of customers, new and old, who still appreciated our clothes and our style. That’s why we decided to add women’s clothing to our collections.
