Dear ITF UNION friends and members,ITF Union was started on 11th April 2015. In one year, we have reached a milestone of 50 countries. We began with the simple idea: no more exploitation of our countries by an International body and, secondly, to help the poor countries. We had been working on this premise for the last year. Thus we came up with the following structure for ITF UNION:

I.T.F. Union objectives

1. Follow the correct timeline for Dan promotions as set out by General Choi.
2. Make all black belt certificates inexpensive.
3. Use certificate fees to help fund the poor countries to hold seminars and courses.
4. Give free certification for poor countries.
5. Set up normal structures internationally to aid the countries. This includes Tournament Committee, Coaching Committee, Self Defence Committee etc.
6. We will also work with other groups.
7. Run professional courses.
8. We ran our first open world championships in Rimini during the summer which was a fantastic success.

We also ran the Open Europeans which were held in Budapest in February. The next Worlds will be held in Ireland in the summer of 2017.
Some of the leading Masters with large national organisations include the following:

Master David Brown (8th) in Scotland
Master Khalid Iqbal (7th) England
Master Orlando Vega (8th) USA
Master Jason Wadley (8th) USA
Grandmaster Morris Ala Rashi (9th) Germany
Master Sergio Zamorano (7th) Argentina
Master Jojo Arsol (7th) Philippines

We also have many other 7th and 8th Dans.
For example, in England alone we have seven groups working. One with over 40 schools under Master Iqbal, another under Master McCarthy, another under Master Bertrand, another under Master Keith Finch (8th Dan) and another under Master Don Deedigan (8th Dan). The same situation is in many countries including my own. In many countries, there can be multiple groups in that country. The ITF UNION would like the groups to work together but, if they work separately, that is their choice. We have a policy of total non interference.

The ITF UNION will enforce the timeline on Dan/Degree promotions. Many organisations are promoting too soon and making a joke out of the art. We will not do this. We see this as a revolution in Taekwon-Do. I hope you decide to become a part of our revolution and our family.
