L'associazione senza scopo di lucro “Il Borgo Ostuni” ha come scopo principale quello di fornire un servizio gratuito di informazione e valorizzazione delle iniziative locali verso la cittadinanza, i turisti e le organizzazioni operanti sull'intero territorio di Ostuni. Questo contribuisce a fornire alla città un'immagine globale di vivacità, di completezza, di varietà, in opposizione alle false credenze di apatia sociale ed imprenditoriale. L'impegno per rompere certi meccanismi di chiusura verte proprio sulla curiosità, sulla capacità di fare rete, sullo scambio di informazioni riguardo alle competenze e professionalità, così da concentrarsi a migliorare ciò che è nelle proprie abilità, invece di imitare quelle degli altri livellando qualitativamente l'offerta verso il basso.
Per alimentare queste pratiche virtuose vengono proposte agli associati e dagli associati iniziative di team building, assemblee e collaborazioni con organizzazioni che contribuiscano ad emergere come territorio, e non come singoli free rider.
