Il Complesso Alberghiero Isola Lo Scoglio sorge su un isolotto naturale proprietà nel 1848 del Barone Della Ratta. Intorno agli anni ’40 dimora estiva di una erede dei Principi di Belmonte, diventa, subito dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, una piccola pensione con annesso ristorante ed elegante locale da ballo, luogo di ritrovo mondano attivo fino a tutti i “favolosi” anni sessanta e settanta, quando il Sig. Quarta Giovanni Gabriele, investendo pionieristicamente nel turismo, lo acquista dal Ministero del Turismo e Spettacolo. Locale “cult” nella memoria collettiva di molte generazioni di salentini, è oggi una struttura ricettiva unica ed il luogo ideale per una vacanza di assoluto relax. Annesso all’hotel, il ristorante “Isola Lo Scoglio”, l’isola dei sapori mediterranei, con piatti tipici e tradizionali di mare e di terra da gustare nella terrazza con incantevole vista sull’Isola Grande.

The Hotel Isola Lo Scoglio lies on a natural island of Porto Cesareo lagoon. In 1848 the island was one of the property of the local nobleman Barone Della Ratta. During the forties a heiress of Princes of Belmonte chose it as her summer residence. Just after the Second World War the noble residence became a small boarding-house with restaurant and dancing, the meeting-place of the smart set during the sixties and seventies, when Mr. Quarta Giovanni Gabriele bought it from the Ministry of Tourism.
“Cult” place for generations and generations of locals, today it is a charming hotel and the best place for a relaxing yet amusing holiday. Its restaurant, the island of Mediterranean flavours, proposes typical and traditional dishes whose main ingredients are seafood and fish to taste in the terracce with amazing view on the Isola Grande.
